A Japanese twist on a French classic. Make you weeknights better with this super quick recipe.
Ingredients
3 tbsp KEWPIE Mayonnaise
2 tsp Japanese soy sauce
2½ tbsp cream cheese
1½ tbsp milk
3 tbsp white miso paste
200g x 2 salmon fillet
Salt and pepper, to taste
3 tbsp oil, for cooking
1 tbsp panko breadcrumbs
Method
1. Preheat oven to 250°C.
2. Combine mayo, soy sauce, cream cheese, milk and miso paste to make a gratin sauce. Set aside.
3. Season salmon fillet with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat, sear salmon on both sides for 1-2 minutes or until medium cooked in the middle. Transfer to a baking tray.
4. Brush a thick layer of gratin sauce over the salmon, lightly sprinkle breadcrumb over the top, and bake in oven for 10 minutes or until the top becomes golden brown.
